Wayne Hofeldt is a co-founder and co-owner of Second Wind Sports Bend. Family man first Wayne loves nothing more than having an adventure. His true passion is for Mountain Biking and working on bikes. Wayne worked for several outdoor bike and ski shops and started working on bikes and skis at a young age. Wayne has over 20 years of experience working on bikes and being around all sorts of cool outdoor gear. In high school and college Wayne spent most summers racing Mountain Bikes in most of the western states and was a series champion in the Wild Rockies series of races. With a passion for the outdoors and a mission to build a community through sustainable gear, Wayne brings decades of knowledge and friendly service to every customer who walks through the door.

Andy has been hooked on the outdoors since he was a kid—started snowboarding at 10, and never really stopped moving. Over the years, he picked up rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, fly fishing and just about anything to be outside. He spent a few years fighting wildfires with the BLM, then spent over a decade in Montana working for a ski resort, where he ran a ski area maintenance crew and supervised lift operations. After years in the mountains, he decided to team up with his best friend, Wayne Hofeldt to open Second Wind Sports Bend to help keep high-quality outdoor gear in circulation and accessible to the Bend community. This shop is a reflection of everything we love: gear that works, time spent outside, and supporting a community that shares the same passions.

Our consignor rates are straightforward and rewarding: sellers receive 70% for items priced over $100, and 65% for items under $100.
